We strongly believe that every child needs a safe place to live in with access to spiritual mentorship, health care services, good nutrition, quality education and a safe environment for that child to grow well into a responsible godly adult.
Unfortunately, due to the political unrest, poverty, weather change and careless ungodly superiors, most children in Africa have become victims of abuse, neglect, violence, and exploitation at home, in school, in the community or during humanitarian emergencies.
We work with our affiliated local churches and schools to identify these victimized children and then offer them necessary support through spiritual mentorship, education support, and talents development programs.
Why focus on education?
Lack of education increases a child’s likelihood of involvement in drugs, gangs, and other risky behaviors. When we reduce barriers to education, we set children up to thrive.
Even in the public school system, families are required to pay for their own uniforms, books, transportation and, in some places, tuition. As you can imagine, an already financially stressed family can’t afford the additional cost of education, and many children fall behind or drop out due to a lack of resources.

We want to see children thrive at every stage of their lives, and therefore we ensure that they are valued, protected, and have what they need to reach their full potential.
When you sponsor a child through Agape Care Ministries, your donation helps that child to get tuition fees, scholastic materials, full school uniform, and medical assistance.
However, your sponsorship does much more, it opens a door for us to reach that family with the gospel of Jesus Christ, encourage them to join our affiliated local church, and equip them with tools needed for them to achieve self-sufficiency.
As a result, that same family begins to rely less on sponsorship and more on their income-generating activities to meet their family needs which creates a good testimony in the community.
Back to school campaign
Life during the COVID-19 pandemic is difficult for parents and children alike. The return to school is an important and hopefully welcome step, but to some children it’s a nightmare because their parents are no longer in position to cater for their education.
Therefore, this campaign focuses on those children who once had a change of studying but now are not able because of Covid 19. We provide them with scholastic materials covering for the whole year as we observe their parents’ financial status. Those with devastating situations will then be enrolled into our child sponsorship program.
